Scott Springer

Scott Springer, EdD, MBA, is an Assistant Professor in the Business Management Department at BYU-Hawaii where he teaches courses in business communication and human resources.

Prior to joining the BYU-Hawaii faculty, Dr. Springer worked for 15 years as a global director for SAGE Publishing, an academic publishing company based in Southern California. Previous to SAGE he worked as a magazine editor and writer.

Dr. Springer has taught courses in management, communication, leadership, organizational behavior, and other subjects for Marylhurst University (Oregon), the University of Phoenix, the University of La Verne (California), BYU-Idaho, and Moorpark College (California).

In addition to teaching courses in the Business Management Department at BYU-Hawaii, Dr. Springer also serves as a faculty advisor of the BYU-Hawaii Student Chapter of the BYU Management Society.  

Dr. Springer has a doctorate in education (EdD) from Northeastern University, an MBA from Pepperdine University, and bachelor’s degrees in journalism and Spanish from Utah State University.  

Dr. Springer and his wife, Ann, are the parents of three daughters.
